CW MARS eCard

An eCard is a CW MARS library card that you can register for online to access electronic materials, such as ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and databases.

The eCard is for patrons who do not already have a CW MARS library card and may be upgraded to a physical library card with borrowing privileges by visiting the library in person. For more information about the eCard, read our FAQ.

BPL eCard

If you are a Massachusetts resident and don’t already have a Boston Public Library card, you can register for one online.

A BPL eCard is a Boston Public Library card that you can sign up for online, and which provides access to all online resources, including OverDrive and Hoopla.

BPL eCards are available to anyone who lives, resides part-time to attend school, owns property, or works in Massachusetts.


Talking Book Library

The Worcester Talking Book Library provides free services to Massachusetts residents of any age who are unable to read traditional print materials due to a visual or physical disability. The Talking Book Library provides access to more than 1.2 million volumes of material, including digital books, large type, described videos, braille, and 100 magazine titles in recorded and braille format.

Service Eligibility Guidelines

Receiving free services through the Talking Book Library is easy; individuals who meet one or more of the following eligibility guidelines listed below can register with the Library to receive braille and talking book services.

Library services are available for Massachusetts residents who: 

  • Are blind or have a visual impairment that makes them unable to comfortably read books
  • Have a perceptual or reading disability
  • Have a physical condition that makes holding or reading a book difficult.
