Welcome to Tails and Tales: Teen Summer Reading 2021 at the Monson Free Library!

Read books, do activities, win prizes!

Stop by the Monson Library to pick up a Bookshelf Reading Log to keep track of the books you’ve read.

  • Earn 1 ticket for each book read – Write the title on a spine of a book on your Bookshelf Reading Log
  • Earn 1 bonus ticket for each book that is creatively decorated on your Bookshelf Log. (can earn 2 tickets per book)
  • Earn 1 ticket for each Qi Gong with Randy Emerson class you attend.
  • Earn tickers for completing Beanstack challenges and writing book reviews.

Teens aged 12-18 can also use our online reading log through Beanstack to keep track of time spent reading. Remember, all reading counts–read a book, magazine, comic book/ graphic novel, or e-book; listen to an audio book; read aloud to a sibling; read aloud with your family.

You can also write reviews of the books that you’ve been enjoying. And check out all the fun activities we’ve included this year.

This summer, you can earn online badges for reading, writing reviews and completing activities!

Reading Logs must be turned in by August 6th at 2 p.m. for tickets to be entered into prize drawing.

Bring your filled out Bookshelf Reading Log to the circulation desk at any time to choose from an assortment of waterproof vinyl stickers.

There’s so much going on this summer. Check out our events calendar!

“Tails and Tales” statewide summer library program is sponsored by the Monson Free Library, the Friends of the MFL, MLS, the Boston Bruins, MBLC, and the IMLS. With support from the NWHL team Boston Pride.
